Our Specialties

Transplantation (Heart, Lung, Liver, Kidney, Bone Marrow)

The Johns Hopkins Comprehensive Transplant Center is one of only a few centers in the United States to offer a comprehensive array of transplantation services for adult and pediatric patients.  Programs exist for kidney/pancreas, incompatible kidney, liver, lung, heart and bone marrow transplantation.  Great advances have been made in recent years to reduce organ rejection and enable patients to receive a kidney from an unrelated donor.  The Incompatible Kidney Transplantation Program allows many patients previously thought to be "incompatible" to receive the gift of life.
