Clinical Trials Research Training Program

The pharmaceutical industry is looking beyond academic medical centers to develop drugs and run clinical trials, and the greatest growth in the clinical research arena is occurring outside the United States. The Johns Hopkins Clinical Trials Training Program provides investigators and research leaders with the skills, tools and expertise necessary to apply for local, regional and international  pharmaceutical clinical trials.

The Johns Hopkins Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) fosters the growth of clinical research within Johns Hopkins based on the highest ethical and scientific standards and in a timely and cost-effective manner. The CTU aims to ensure groundbreaking, efficient clinical investigation that leads to improved patient care.

Through its training program, the CTU is able to transfer this knowledge in a high-quality program that is designed to meet an organization's research objectives.  The program combines didactic teaching and hands-on approaches, and focuses on developing a solid foundation of good clinical research practices, regulations and compliance. The program also addresses new trends and controversies facing the clinical researcher.
